Campaign Management

Blood:Water Mission has done the 40 Days of Water Campaign for years. Participants are asked to make water their only beverage for 40 days. The money each person would have spent on other drinks would then be given to B:WM as a donation.

The challenge was taking this campaign online.

Application Design

Blue Ocean Ideas created a website where each 40 Days of Water participant would get their own profile page. After logging in, each person could track the number of drinks they gave up and how much money they saved.

Friends and family could also go to each participant's page to make donations to the cause.

Website

Not only did the database, profile, and donation mechanisms need to work, but the site needed to be beautiful. We packaged all these element together in one of our most exciting projects to date.

Blood:Water Mission is a non-profit that is near to our hearts. Blue Ocean Ideas has been personally involved with them for years.

B:WM exists to help solve the HIV/AIDS and water crises in Africa. They do it through community partnerships, both on the ground in Africa, and by giving a vision to communities in the States.

Their 1,000 Wells Campaign is aimed at providing clean water in 1,000 communities around Africa where $1 can provide one African clean water for a year.

Blue Ocean Ideas was honored to work with B:WM on developing a fundraising campaign platform. We created the online home for the 40 Days of Water Campaign.
